Default Share a house with the Ex?

Ok. I may have put my foot in it.

An ex girlfriend is looking for a place to move to, in about 2 months when her lease is up. She isn't looking for anything permanent as her study options could send her to warrnambool next year, and with the rental market the way it is everyone wants you for 12 months at a time.

We get on well, always have. So I opened my mouth and offered the two spare rooms I have at my place to her and her 2yr old son.(No not mine)

Just looking for anyone's experiences of living with an ex , good or bad. Will this be the end of my sanity or will I survive.

Or should I just remove myself to the garage for the couple of months she'd be here. (That almost sounds like a good idea)

Dave

It was a real DOH! moment (Sorry Homer)

Might have been a real doh moment.

Biggest problems I can see happening are;

1/. She has to remember she is an ex and has to pay all her share costs.
2/. You have to remember she is an ex when the new boy friend turns up.

No harm in giving it a go - if you get on all right, you should be able to discuss any living problems before they get out of hand. Give that garage a sweep out just in case tho....

Sounds to me, Coaster that you need to let us know whats eating at you mate, before it gets worse and you do something silly.

Big D, just remember why she is an ex before you caught in the deep end so to speak, and as carves said above sit down and set the ground rules first and hopefully it all goes well
