Default Oil changed the oil & found small white plastic bits in strainer

I just changed the oil on my 97/98 XJ 4litre. Strained the oil and found little bits of hard white plastic in the strainer.
Very hard plastic and almost like from drilling.
Has anyone had this occur or have any knowledge as to where it could be coming from?
Appreciate any advice.
Will try and upload an image.
Cheers
Mike

Update. Just did an internet search.
Found a similar question.
A response was.
Up until 1996 it was called a Timing Chain Bumper, from 1997 to 2001 it was called a Timing Chain Snubber. None of which have 'tensioner' attributes
