Hi CRDSTU
Looks great, like the black wheels, great to see Aus getting one of the first lifts for this great vehicle (we love ours)
What size tyres do you think you could run with this lift, would 275/65/18's fit.?
Also up here in the NT we have adopted the national code of practice for vehicle modification, VSB 14, section 2.6 regards vehicles with ESC, have you or are you working on getting some thing form Jeep saying the WK2 ESC is not affected by this lift?,
I would love to run this lift with 275/65/18 tyres, but need the VSB 14, 2.6 to register in the NT

Great work Paul

I think the 275/65/18's would fit no problems but we havent had a car that wanted to go upto that size as yet.

No we havent done anything in relation to that NCOP as yet. Given the time and money we might but for the moment no.

They're still the stock size. 265.60.18's

We'll probably go up a size on the next one to a 265.65.18

The width of the stock tyres isnt the drama, its the depth of the side wall that concerns me. THe stock Kumo tyres are honestly junk - considering the prestige of the new WK I'm shocked that Jeep chose to put them on as OE equipment

Anybody got a link to the tyre regulations that apply in each state. Trying to work out the largest legal tyre replacement for the GC.

That because the rolling diameter of 265/50/20 is basically the same as 265/60/18's. So the question is how large can you legal go in diameter before its a problem.

Ie 265/65/18 is 26.5mm larger in diameter

Here is a link for National Code Of Practice, light vehicle modifications you need to take into account the whole document, for your own state requirements contact your local road transport authority
