Default 2DR vs 4DR vs waiting to test drive

First of all I'd like to say hi to everyone, I've been reading these forums a bit lately as I ponder my new car choice.
Now that the JK has this and my lease expires in a few months I'm going to grab a JK.
I was initailly going to get the 2 door, then after some thought I am now swaying towards the 4 door as it would hold more for when I go to the snow etc.
I am at the point where I will test drive the 4 door and if the engine shows little difference in response with the extra 200kg's I will go that way but if it seems to suffer with th extra weight I may go back to the 2 door, I just think the 4 door may be more practical though (you probably cant fit a snowboard in the 2 dr can you?).
I was wondering what options you all were going with and if you think that the extra body length will effect offroad performance much.
Or if youre in the same boat as me and waiting a test drive of both.

4 door all the way! I was 100% definite on a 2 door until I saw a4 door in the flesh in jackson hole early december. Just looked and seemed perfect for eveything Id be using it for, including going up to mt buller 3 days per week, ski gear n mates. Snowboard will fit no probs in the 2door anyways. Im gonna rig up a ski mount through the spare wheel holder when the time comes anyhow, for my gear and mates.

Where do you head up?

Drove both and the 4 door will be better for what you want. Longer wheel base will be better and cargo space will be so much more friendly to all your gear.

Sethgun - I go to Perisher as I live in NSW, I've only been going a few years as I only moved here a few years ago from WA (no snow there).
Last year I bought a board, was a disapointing year though snowfall wise.
It appears I am hooked ... what is it with white powdery substances and their adictive nature?

Mr Extreme Jeep - or is that just Mr Jeep
When you test drove did you notice a great deal of difference between them in terms of power, I know theyre not race cars but I'm curious as to how different the get up an go was. Would you say 5% or closer to 25%?

Thanks
