2000 diesel steering box

Hi

I’ve searched and found nothing

Are all the steering boxes the same

Diesel, petrol, pre and facelift?

May need to rebuild or replace my 2000 diesel one

You would think so

3 ways I can think of to find out

1) take pics of yours and compare them to pics from say Rock Auto etc

2) Take pics and post them to a forum

3) download the Factory Parts Manual for that year and check part numbers, there is free site, takes some googling

whats wrong with yours, they can be adjusted or taken apart and re-sealed ?

if the gears are worn, it needs replacing

It's the same steering gear in diesel and petrol models. Part list only shows the one with no indication of engine type.
