Default MIL light staying on

My tug is 2014 JGC...100k west of Longreach towing the van and ETC light comes on , lost power fo 2 seconds , then the ight goes off but MIL light comes on . Owners manual says possible cause is dirty fuel . Out herethat is a distinct possibility. Have dosed tank with F1 fuel treatment . Fuel filters were replaced approx 1000k ago . Will I need someone with OBD to clear the light or will removing positive terminal do the job ?
Thanks in advance .

If the fault code has cleared, then the MIL light will go out by itself. It can take up to 20 cycles of the ignition to clear it some times.
