I am at 104,000K now. The mileage is a bit low for a 7 yr. old 97 ZJ. I got it brand new so don't if seven yrs is long enough for Cat to start disintegrating.

Djorkboy, they stock heaps of popular brands and they'll do anything u want even Magnaflow systems but generally for ricers. Best to call or go and check them out. I have one of ESA muffs. I don't know if they are popular but its one of their local brands and I can see the quality is ok. The guy's name who fitted mine is Alex. I am sure he can remember me (Jetty) as I was there a few times.

I'll try to get some pics this weekend so you guys can see it.

my 96 is at 120,000k but was closer to 105,000 in December when the cat started to go. I heard that in the US cats on Grand Cherokees have a special 100,000 mile warranty (so it should be 160,000k here) but I'm too scared to ask a dealer as my experience with Jeep dealerships has been awful so far.

I was told that on most cars the cat is expected to last the life of the car.
