The rear wheels rub on O.M.E. shocky housing when compressed.
I have ARB bar on front and there is no tire rubbing or contact in the front at all. The wheels are stock 16x7. Yes it is a Lareodo and i live at Boondall North Side. So running 265/75-16 would only make this situation worse. Just how much i do not know. I can live with the amount of tire rubbing at the moment. It is only slight but bigger tires might be a problem. Maybe different shocks might give more clearance on the back.

You could do what Billsta has done to his rear shocks.....

He has obtained (or had fabricated) new upper shockmounts that are mounted inboard from the originals, and slightly lower down on the chassis. I'm not sure how they are connected (I presume bolted but they may be welded) [BILLSTA!!! Where are you???] He runs 33's and doesn't rub if I recall.

Looked like a pretty simple and effective fix.

you can...

1, run no shocks
pros - no extra cost involved
cons - illegal, very boaty feel

2, cut stone guard off
pros - new shiny bit in the rear for looks
cons - shocks prone to damage, voids warrenty, premature failure

3, move shock mounts
pros - allow to run wider tyres
cons - cost, find shocks to match, legalities...

4, new shocks (with rubber boots Rancho & the likes)
pros - allow for wider tyres
cons - cost for 4 new shocks (no biggie if doing a new lift)

5, new wheels with less back spacing (more off set)
pros - looks good
cons - cost, premature wear on bearing units

6, back to stock
pros - nothing to worry about
cons - none

think there a close up pic in this months 4WD monthly

80LIX - just on the motor probs. I have recently replaced my cat converter AND the muffler with high flow units. Both cactus after 184k.

Different car. Leaps away at lights. Flies by comparo to the "old" setup. Mine has been a slug from day one 5 years ago. Now fixed with exhaust work. Keep in mind I'm on LPG most times...

Fabed up some 48mm spacers some time ago and have run 31's on many occassions with no problems. Never disconnected though - then I would destroy some guard material. Washered out the steering stops to stop rubbing..

I likes me Grand mate....
