Wink

In the diesel I did because of the turbo lagg.

After it was in I noticed the increase in power and no turbo lagg, the service centre said the same thing.

So after the snorkel is fitted I should have a top JK for myself.

You can order them in OZ for about $120.00 and $20.00 for a recharge kit through Repco.

For dusty conditions I still use the paper filter as the K&N clogs up quickly.
?????????????? Have you fitted it yet? I was told by jeep the filters are differt shapes? Do Jeep spareparts people know what they are talking about I have been chasing this for ages... What part number did you get?

thanks

Hi all,

Matt & Leesa you are correct - the diesel air-box is a slightly different shape to that of the petrol version.

You still can use this filter however you'll need to do a little modification to fill the slight gap on one side that the filter doesn't quite cover!

robbo1959 unless you have a different filter fitted to your CRD JK (which so far I've been unable to locate) I'd suggest you check it as if it's anything like mine you will have a gap in one corner which could potentially be letting in un filtered air into your engine.

Hope this helps

Helloooo yes I'm up with the gap and fitted a small piece of foam to it.

You will find the part number on the K&N web site then order it here.

Mines been in for 7 months now and no problems.

It will also work great with the snorkel.

That's good robbo, didn't think you'd have missed it but just wanted to make sure! I've done the same to mine and it's been in for about the same time

So the answer is that there is currently no panel filter (from K&N) available for the JK CRD specifically however the petrol version can be made to work just as robbo has done
