This has come up before, and at the time I observed that the reception in my 2013 is no worse or better than in my other car (Mazda). Both suffer equally poor AM reception in the same notorious weak spots, otherwise no issues. My GC has the stalk antenna although that might only serve FM, not sure. I don't have GPS.

Sounds to me like something has gone backwards with the antenna design in the later models, 2014 onward??

If you are using any USB adaptors in the Jeep, disconnect them and see if it makes any difference. Or any other non standard electrical item. Despite the radio in my MY15 GC suffering the same problems, poor quality USB adaptors were making it worse. Share if you find the same.

Pulled out all usb connectors and 12v plugs. Unfortunately it has made no difference, but thank you for your suggestion.

Discovered the problem of no radio reception.
I have a roof mounted DVD player. Someone had been playing around with it and I noticed a button marked FM lit up. When I turned off this button, hey presto, the radio came back on. FM/AM- the works. Turn power back on to fm button on dvd and no car radio. This feature on the player must put out a hell of a lot of interference to cancel out the car radio.
Don't know what this button does on the dvd player as haven't found the handbook yet, but anyway problem solved.
Thank you for your replies.

Regards
Peter
