Default Jambo 2006 and what after?
After the Jambo next year I'm thinking of continuing further up to eithier Fraser or all the way to Cape York (The Jambo is October 2006 right?). I've been to Fraser a couple of times so I know what that'll be like but would 3 weeks, including the Jambo be enough to get me from Sydney, to Jambo, up to the tip and back? I hope so I'm not adverse to doing 1000kms a day and have done Sydney to Cairns in 2.5 days

If not I guess it'll be Fraser again.

Anyone done the tip and what do you think time wise?

I did the cape from Cairns in 15 days I dont think i'd do it any faster as you would miss to much on the way to the tip

i had 2 spare days just incase of problems so you could cut it down if you wanted to

So 22 days including the Jambo might be pushing it then from Sydney, I figure a day to get to Brisbane, 3 days at Jambo 2 more to get to Cairns (6 so far) 13 to get to the tip and back and then 3 back home from Cairns. I reckon it's doable and I'd be prepared to miss a little just to get up there and back

yeah i think you could do it just might have 1 or 2 days with longer drive times but i'm sure you could handle that.

the best part of the trip was getting there the tip is ok but the fun is the trip to get there
