You can be absolutely certain that what ever it is that you have NOT taken will be the item that you will need.
Most important, take spare food and WATER, enough to keep you going for 10 days in an emergency situation.
Emergency Food should be wet (tinned) food that does not require cooking or additional water for preparation. Takes some multivitamin tablets with you as well for when fresh fruit and veg runs out. Other things like hats, eye protection, skin protection, insect killers, comms, firelighting, comfortable bedding etc etc r just as important as spares for the car. You should tend to these things first and foremost and then consider the car.
I have travelled all over the country in really remote areas in my JKU Rubi. I always make sure that it is up to the task and keep up with scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance.
I travel to conditions, try not to be overweighting or otherwise stressing the vehicle an always plan to get home safe and sound without incidence. Apart from flat tyres so far I have had great success.
There are a lot of websites (even here) that address the issue of how to prepare for remote travel and what gear, spares etc to take. Not many address the really important aspects of survival food and water.
