Rock Auto no longer ship to Australia !

It would seem certain Rock Auto no longer ship direct to Australia, due to the GST issue

For the owners of XJ this is a bit of an issue, as its well-established that Parts are available from them at a greatly reduced price, with some Not Available here anyway

It would appear one way around this is to arrange a "Shipto" account via USA, but that is one added hassle, (and probably cost)

I was considering writing to them to clarify the best way forward
Prior to that, I am seeking feedback and information from other users

It is a shame .
Was so convenient.
Havent looked into it yet.
Do get some stuff from Jegs and Summit.
Never use Quatratec.
Their pay and we will send you a shipping price sucks.
Did it once and they charged the card , and I didnt order it thru them in the end.
Wife picked up on it months later

Already thread on this . Myself and others have been in contact with Rock Auto ,not going to become tax collectors for the Aust Gov.Might change.Shame as Summit etc dont seem to have a problem.

I am guessing they got Tax audited, and as I know for a fact they had not been charging any GST long after Ebay etc was, so maybe they got wacked with a fat bill by US authorities, on behalf of Oz, under mutual agreements etc.

That would p!ss you off. I can tell you from experience, dealing with tax officials most often leaves a sour taste
