Hi all. I have a 96 grand cherokee laredo, and I have found when it rains, the passengers side carpet is soaked,The leak does not appear to be coming in the door seals, Its not visible when it rains, is there a common point that the Laredo leaks water.

Make sure the plenum chamber drain isnt blocked with leaves twigs etc.

Jeeps typically leak from everywhere.
Sure it's not the windscreen sealing?

You are not alone. My 95XJ is leaking from the front top of the windscreen. Water is soaking through the centre front of the ceiling and droplets come down between the T-bar and the transfer case lever.

I have a theory that it tends to leak when parked on an incline, and when wipers have been used in fast mode, in a deluge, backwashing water through the underside of the top seal.

I took it to a well known windscreens and glass replacement company for a check. They reckon they pressure tested the windscreen they had installed after my original was cracked a few years back... and said that the water musta been leaking in thru the roof rack.

What a croc. More like they were not prepared to honour a lifetime warranty.

I pulled off the windscreen wiper arms, Bit of a trick to that, as they have a locking tab under the spline, you have to lift the arms, move the tab, then the arms will come off.
Removed the bottom plastic skirt, and there was a pile of leaves twigs and dirt the size of a large birds nest in the Void.
Removed all the gunk.
Will see how it goes in the wet weather.
