for the record rob i have been up to skene every year since i was 20 with friends on a annual weekend trip even before i owned a 4wd i was a passenger now weekends like this will not be held as skene was a easily accessible mountain and jamiesen is a good place to stay on a boys weekend with an ace pub .
or the 5 or so trips a year i do up there with my missus and freinds .
i do not think a club day out will replicate or be as enjoyable as either of these scenarios as the possibility of being surrounded by a group of knobs is a high possibility just cause they are from the same club and on the same trip .
4wd cub propaganda makes me sick as going out wheeling is about having fun with
friends not all the rest of this ************ry that is involved with clubs .

cause public drove that public road and - the public had to pay for them to be rescued because the went unprepared and got stuck - so now there is limited access and we as clubs arranged with the council via the association to get access
if you go to the snowfields you have to pay if you drive on a toll road you have to pay - same principle - it is closed for public safety and we have proven we can go prepared so allowed in
public roads are closed all the time for various purposes - in this case its because the cops and council decision not dse or parks
Having a voice sometimes pays
Same deal with mvo tracks

i agree with you spambulance, this is an absolute rort and more leverage for clubs to solicit new 4wd owners into memberships, add this to the commonly used insurance propaganda
as ive stated many times these clubs use a percentage members resources to fund these goverment groups which only has an impact on the greater 4wd community by placing restrictions and closing tracks.........stop funding these pigs and they will not have the resources to impact our accessability to tracks

Mc Adams Gap pub is great if you like Egg & Bacon sandwhiches or Hambugers. The beer is good but there is not much choice for food.
Good snow driving though if the weather has been crap.
