Have you thought about maybe welding a nut to the back of the mount then then making a right angle front tab that you could weld to the bottom and maybe continue up the back of the mount an inch or so? You’d need crush tubes for the bushings but at least you’d be in double shear and it would act as a skid protecting the rod end. Not trying to tell you how to suck eggs, but I’ve never been a fan of the lower studs.
