You must work faster than me 07Commander, 4 hours is pretty good going for that job

It took me just over 6 hours, on my own, without a hoist. It did take me a while to get the old bushes out and the new ones in with my limited tools.

Overall it wasn't a hard job, just time consuming. I found the youtube video on it was very helpful.

I put it all back together, drove it out of the shed and did a u-turn, still clicking and vibrating through the steering wheel. Bugger. decided to take it for a drive, found a quite culdersac to turn around, noise and vibration gone.

I did change the front diff oil, I wonder if the old oil was causing the diff to lock up a bit which was causing the noise and vibrations. It's all good now and drives nicely again.

For the record the tailshaft CV (CV861) is the rear CV from a V8 or Turbo 6 Falcon tailshaft BA or BF model. They have two tailshaft types, one with a centre Uni Joint and one with a centre CV. The one the Jeep uses is from the Ford tailshaft with the centre CV

ecovandel it took me longer than 4hrs because i thought i would be smart and unbolt the lower control arms and roll the diff and do it in the car, turns out I'm not that smart so out it came haha wasted about a 1hr.
I cut the old ones out with a saber saw and i used super pro bushes which aren't pressed in that only took about 15 mins.
i also decided to change my diff oil and reseal it and it took me about 4.5-5 hrs but i have had the front end apart before so i do know my way around it.

Yes, I considered trying to roll the diff but I figured I would never get the old bush out with a cold chisel and hammer without getting a good swing at it.
