I believe it's a lot simpler if you are leaving the ring and pinion in place (not re-gearing)

Have a look at the eaton e-locker too, no air lines neaded

where are you located?

There is also the option of a lunch box locker, apparently very easy install. I believe with the ARB it is a little difficult as you need to dismantle the centre and have the tools to set the diff back up, eg clearances etc.

I doubt you will need the speader I have pulled out over four Dana diff centres and never needed a spreader. Talking to a diff builder tech who does them all the time he rarely uses a spreader on any of his Jeep diffs. As for backlash You-Tube might be your friend.

Regards A

I`m not any kind of diff expert, but I seem to remember that another forum member here is experiencing problems caused by fitting an air locker without using the housing spreader. I also had problems with the factory set-up in the D30 in my TJ. The preload on the carrier bearings was not tight enough from the factory causing the bearings to chatter & float. It only had 80k km on it then. The problem was only discovered during a re-gear & locker fit. Crap Indian Timkens...
