No I don't. Do you know anyone with them who has tried to make a claim after an accidental?

It annoys me that they are illegal because I think the wider stance of a WH with them looks great.

I nearly pulled the trigger on some JK wheels myself ages ago until I found out about the brake clerance issue. That led to spacer requirements which led to legalities. Maybe I'm a woos but I stuck with the factory wheels and a slightly smaller tyre.

I don't know why they are illegal when a different offset wheel isn't. Or is it?

Wheel spacers are one of those things that may or may not negate an insurance claim. If you have any concerns then ask your insurance company.
Our opinions on weather they are a good or bad thing mean diddly squat.

Have you ever found an insurance company that will accept them?

I thought it was a more of an ADR thing and not a company thing. More to do with vehicle defects rather than if they work or not.

I don't use them, so I have never asked.

I considered only using a 6mm spacer but they just reduce the amount of thread holding your wheel on. With the proper hub centric spacers they are literally an extension of the hub. They are so well made you would break the rim before snapping off the spacer. I used the spidertrax ones US made and worth every dollar.
Illegal yes. So is pratically any modification you make to your jeep without permits so....
