What Jeep do I drive?: WH

Default front diff seal

Front diff pinion seal. Can you replace the seal its where the one near the drive shaft is connected. Can you replace it from the outside or do you have to open the diff up.

"Remove axle shaft tube (1) seal with Remover 7794-A (2) and slid hammer."

Looks like you'll have to get a slid hammer

Good to have a decent size breaker, and slide hammer with a 3 or 4 hook puller to get the seal out straight. Also technically should use a small static torque wrench to measure drag on the pinion after torquing it up.
