Thanks for that. Yeah have read through all the rules and have been flying model aircraft as a MAAA registered operator for over 30 years so safety and rules are no surprise to me.

Interesting that the new rules mean you can fly commercial (with restrictions) without a licence now too. Still might look into a licence as with my recent retrenchment may be looking for another income stream...

Wow, nice read. I agree having the receiver would be excellent and in larger so over 5kg drones the transmitter could help too.

So how are you liking the Mavic, I have a DJI Spark on the way (fly more kit so includes a couple of batteries etc). I wanted something I could easily fit in the Jeep on day trips and was discrete in the air. Can't wait for it to turn up so I can go for a fly.

Cheers
Steve

My friend made a gift for himself and bought a DJI drone. It is one of the best drones in its characteristics. However, after 2 use, DJI drone broked, the service center could not replace the details on the warranty.
It is very pitty, this is not a cheap thing.

Hi! I'm sorry for bumping this thread, but I've recently bought a drone and I didn't expect that I would start suffering from was the panic that sets in when I fly it. Does anyone have it?

Hey,
This is totally normal, I still feel anxious sometimes. You are in the majority when it comes to new flyers. By the way, I know people who even take medications to calm down, but I don't recommend doing it as you might face health issues (you can check the description on online pharmacy sites if interested). I started off with a Phantom 2 several years ago and also was in a panic. I calmed down once I started to really trust the craft. The Mavic flys so well that it's hard not to trust it.
