Default WH 2010 external mirrors

hi everyone - have had a WH 2005 for the last 12y - love it but too many little problems becoming bigger now so i bought a WH 2010 this week. One item i need to replace is the LH external mirror and, although every time i check online on different sites they all say it is the same mirror assembly/glass from 2005-2010, i am 99.9% sure the newer ones are taller/squarer compared to the older model. Can somone confirm - either i'm a fruit loop, losing my marbles and need to hand i my license asap OR my excellent eyesight belies my mature age and I am still OK to operate a vehicle on a public road.!!!

no name calling please - i'll take any part# you might have though...!!!

thanks

I have a picture of my daughters 2005 and my 2010 next to each other. I can't physically go out and check now, as i have sold my 2010. But, the pic does show that they are pretty much identical in size and shape...

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Thanks.. I must definitely need my eyes testing coz the newer model on the left looks taller and squarer then the older model on the right - same as my two. I'll have to get the tape measure on them tomorrow

Cheers

Yes you are right mjl, the updated WH (2008 up) had larger mirrors. I was going to fit them to my 06 but they didn't line up with the exterior trim along the window edge.

2009

2006

Not the best comparison but you can just see the 2010 mirror is higher.

thanks everyone - I finally managed to measure them - the glass in the 05-08 model is 125mm tall and in the 08-10 model it is 150mm tall - both the same 210mm width now i'm off to trawl the yards for the right ones and probably ask a few ebay vendors to measure theirs...aargh.!
