Gday Benn0.
Yes - it is still under warranty. I was thinking that was why they were taking their time. Not an important job for them.

Warranty work doesn't pay well for dealers, so some avoid doing it.

You are spot on, it is a bit like some panel beaters won't do insurance work, the rates are terrible apparently.
With Jeep, it may be related to what U.S gets labour for and what Australia pays for labour.
I asked for a dealership quote on some work, it was $400 parts and two hours labour $375.

FCA make 1280 GJC a day or 280,000 a year on their two production lines in Detroit
I hope the dealer is not just guessing what is wrong

Actually - I have just been around to All Grand Cherokee workshop in Springvale. They were VERY helpful and interested and they believe they have the parts in STOCK!!
Just have to photograph my module no. to make sure. Can you believe that???

+1. James at All GC is a great operator, it's the only place I entrust my Jeep to. His customer service is excellent and prices are very fair, way better than any dealer you'll find.

The Latest
I won't requote my original post to this thread but -
FINALLY I have the Overland back. NO - NOT because of Berwick Jeep's care, interest or professionalism.
As my original contact with Berwick Jeep will be 5 MONTHS on Christmas Day - and up until 3 weeks ago l had not heard a SINGLE word from them in the entire time - and l have been without a car for that whole time etc. etc - I decided to get it fixed myself.
I took it to Tam at All Grand Cherokees and he diagnosed and fixed every issue - except he could not trace the final issue despite countless hours of work and research. The air suspension would only operate at its full height. He suggested a specialist auto electrician.
I took it to Huw Todd at MotorSpark in Blackburn, Melbourne. His workshop was full of Bentleys, Mercs and other high-end cars. Promising.
I left it with him and he diagnosed an electrical fault back to the compressor. He then took it to Nunawading Jeep who had to programme the new air suspension module which only a dealer can complete. They couldn't get the new module to accept the VIN when the computer suggested that the air tank did not have enough nitrogen in it. They topped it up and now EVERYTHING works!!
When and if my parts arrive at Berwick Jeep l have a place l am going to suggest they put them! I will NEVER be returning to Berwick.
Please use this as an FYI only as none of this is the car's fault. It has been faultless until water got in due to a vandalised rear window. I would highly recommend Huw @ MotorSpark and Tam @ AGC however.

I was disappointed when James left All GC, but Tam is every bit as good - an extremely competent operator.
