They won't be able to tell jack squat. I went in with my old Jeep with all the EGR associated crap removed and the RAR inspector did not see anything. They surely won't see anything in this one with how cramped it is.
I did the EGR defeat and removed the solenoid, smoke output with sudden throttle dropped a lot.

What would happen if you only unhooked the vacuum line from the EGR valve and did not unhook or modify any part of the electrical system?

The computer will say NO, and generate a check engine light. You need to fool the ECU into thinking the EGR system is still working, very cheap and easy mod to do.

Out of luck with the photo bucket ones, site closed down free hosting but the others should be good.............it's a great mod and works really well but if you have a 2.7 now and want to do the mod it really would be a waste of time as the vehicle would be at least 13 yrs old so a pull down of the exhaust manifold and a big clean up of everything would be needed ................................
