The AEV is compliant, it just has not gone through the approval process. I know it was going to but not sure if it has yet.

I too went through the exact same thoughts but it came down to price and u ended up with second hand front and rear ARB bars. Front got a polish and went straight on, rear git a sand back and repaint.

Seacomms.... if it hasn't been through the approval process its misleading to say its compliant.... sure it might be but it also might not be.
That's why there's a testing system in place, to stop inaccurate claims being made that could mislead purchasers.

And JKLamb the DBOR modular and i believe the TJM bars and i'd say the Uneek4x4 ( but haven't seen a plate ) are also formally approved...

AEV, looks better i think, sort of looks factory but tough also.

The DBOR modular is compliant as long as you don't remove the end pieces correct?

Yep, technically it's not compliant as it hasn't been crash tested (to my knowledge). I think it would meet most, if not all other requirements based on the visual appearance of the bar though?

I also had a problem with tyre rub with my ARB bar, replaced with uneeks and heeps more clearance
