Default Spline count

Hi all, Does anyone know how many splines a factory fitted Dana 44 would have when its in a 06 65th Anniversary Tj? It's the 4.0Ltr 6spd, (I think it's 30 and the ratio should be 3:73?). Thanks guys.

It's 30 spline. If you want to be 100% on the ratio take off the cover and you'll see two numbers example 41 11. The calculation is 41÷11= 3.73. What are you plans?

Cool if you not changing your gears it will be easy enough. Before you pull the center make sure to make a note on how much clearance is on the bearings with your feeler gauges.

Good one...as I won't be removing the pinion I'll only have the backlash to adjust eh? As opposed to resetting the whole mesh pattern?
