They are active sensors so sensor continuity isn't a useful check.

Should have 5 volt on one wire.

Could be a broken wire, plug issue, or wheel bearing on the way out... or or or.....

Exclamation TPMS 2013JK part # ??

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm that 56029398-AB is the part number for a 2013 JK Rubi TPMS (sensors)?

I just want to ensure that they are the same exact item as sold in the USA under 56029398-AB, or whether we have a different part number here in AU?

I called the local dealer and they just gave me "56029398" without the AB.

The tyre place here in Brisbane tells me they are different here in AU to the USA, but what I have found is they changed with the model changes - eg up to 2009, then 2010-2011, then the 2012-2013.

Appreciate anyone who has access to that info and can confirm.

Cheers.

The AA / AB / AC / AD that you see at the end of the part number is from different manufacturers. I:e, the original manufacturer of the part for Jeep used the letter code AA, when a different batch were made for Jeep by a different manufacturer they were givent he letter code AB to use. If a third manufacturer was used later they were given the letter code AC and so on. If the part number is the same, (forget about the 2 letters at the end), then they are the same part. If it's a genuine part and the part number matches, (not including the 2 letters), then the part is 100% compatible with the original part.

When I blew mine I was lucky and got one through Bill at DBOR, but I think he has a spare laying around. Jeep do carry them at around the $350 mark from memory or you try getting one from one of the Pommie sites. It just depends on how quick you need it.
