Yesterday started positively with blue skies and sunshine, but by lunch turned into a consistent mix of drizzling and heavy rain. Nonetheless we made the most of it and visited Green Pools and Elephant Rock before smashing some WA award-winning sausage rolls at the bakery.
Also had a flick with the lure at a few local spots, but no luck & found a 4WD track to Back Beach

So the sun stuck its head out for most of today, so it was off to Choco Late` for some tasting before boat harbour beach (photos 1&2) & the gap (photo 3-5), Denmark.
Both boat harbour & the gap are accessed by relatively easy 4WD tracks (sand with a solid base) & heaps off off-shoot tracks. We stuck to the main track but im sure there would be heaps of similar looking bay's/cove's/beaches etc. There was even camp spots at boat harbour beach

A couple of quick shout outs, thanks & praise to Pro4x4 and Fyrlyt
Purchased a set of fyrlyt spotties a 3-4 years back. Anyway driving across the nullabor we must have hit a few bats or birds as we cracked both front covers. As fyrlyts are designed so individual components can be replaced, i Rang fyrlyt to organise some to be sent to one of their WA distributors. Paul was happy to oblige but after a few questions he would send us the covers at not cost.
Also Pro4x4 installed some sway bar disconnects on my jku. Anyway one of the disconnects threw a nut which resulted in the bolt being flogged out & the link being useless
Rang pro4x4 late Wednesday re another or where i could by one in WA. Well by Thursday they had spoken to the supplier and organised a replacement to be sent to my next destination for pick up friday. And all at no charge to me
So a hugh thanks to Paul frpm Fyrlyt & Shannon from Pro4x4, you have both gone way and beyond & hence i highly recommended them
Ps other than using their products/services i have no affiliation with these companies

Hamelin Station has been our home for the last few days. We took a trip out to Monkey Mia the other day and but by the time we got there the Dolphins had been and gone. However we did see a couple in Whalebone beach which was lovely. Yesterday we made it out to Steep point, the most westerly point of mainland Australia. Was a 9+hour trip from Hamelin but well worth it. The last 40 odd km are a mixture of full on corrigations, sand, beach, rick and everything in between. You also have to air down to a max of 20 psi and there is no fuel. So be prepared. We flicked a lure off one of the beach's and got whiting, flathead and bream which was cool. We also made friends with a dog we called Bluey at hamelin statio .

Also hamelin station has is a great base. We stayed at the station itself (there is also a caravan park bit) which was clean with hot showers, camp kitchens and flushing toilets. But no fuel and you must take all your rubbish with you
Would definitely recommend and were thinking of staying there again on the way back

Ellie beach was beautiful but turned out to be too rough for the kids to swim in so we didnt end up staying there for as long as we had planned. We decided to head straight up to Exmouth to find a place to snorkle where we wont get swept out to sea. The emu's are very friendly though and we were waiting for some food.

We found some spots to snorkle and saw lots of fish , a couple of turtles and some sting rays. We visited Ospery Bay , Turquoise Bay and the ship wreck of SS Mildura yesterday and today we climbed to the top of Mandu Mandu Gorge and then to Lakeside which is all part of the Cape Range Nation park.
