Anyone know where to pick up new o rings for the fuel filter. I just replaced the filter, it didn't come with o rings for the water sensor. Now have a slow weep from the sensor, next time I will check.
Silicone or neoprene based o rings, turn to jelly when they come in contact with fuels.

I got oversized ones from Repco, but I am sure anywhere that sells seals would be able to help.

They need to be impervious to diesel, eg made from nitrile rubber, a lot of the blister packs don't indicate what substance they are made from. I'll go and check them out tommorrow. cheers

The ones I have fitted have been in place since I posted my results, and to date I have had no leaks, touch wood...
One thing I had to contend with was that the o rings were a tad too big, so the sensor had to be tapped into position with a block of wood and a mallet! I'll replace the whole shebang next time, the bugger aint coning back out!

Yes it's a pain in the ar$e, my son is getting the car, so I'm just changing things to make sure it doesn't have a problem.
So I'll check out the repco blister packs, from memory, they are Champion so I'll ring them tommorrow.
But I will tell my son, to replace it with a genuine filter, next time.
It isn't worth the hassle, for the little difference in cost.IMO
Thanks heaps for your input, I'm sure my son will be on the forum, when he gets the car in a week or so.

Just for future info, the Champion o rings as sold in Repco are nitrile rubber, so o.k to use with fuel.
