Default Seems a good deal

Hi all

I have been looking at 09/08 compliance WH Limited CRD with 149k's on the clock & the bloke wants $29,000 drive away.

Now it looks a million bucks & has full dealer service history which may or may not be worth much, but certainly better than a vehicle limited or no history.

Given that it's only 3.5 yrs & old it's kilometres are more than the average by a considerable margin, what are the opinions here?

Thanks

Red Book says 60k-100k is average for this age and the price privately is $41,600-$45,700.
The K's are rather high, 25k per annum is considered average.
Even though I drive a WG V8 2003 after reading a lot of people here first thing I would do would be to check the swirl motor. I'm not 100% sure on the "colour" of the "O" ring either orange or black, (one is the old the other the new), but it's veruy big expense to repair if it lets go.
You would probably get a great condition JK Unlimited for that price.
Cheers
Tim

I would think that it has done most of those K's on the highway to get that many K's in 3 years and IMO that is better than a lower K's vehicle that has got the K's up in the city.
Just my 2c worth.

I would second that, especially on a diesel. We bought the father in laws 3.0lpetrol patrol years ago at 5 years old with 200,000 on the clock all highway running and proper service. We got rid of it at 280 and I ran into the new owner some time later at 360k and it still hadn't had a spanner outside service items put to it, yet the little 3.0 l petrol was supposed to way over stressed in that application and venerable to issues.

I found this today just as a comparison. http://sunshinecoast.gumtree.com.au/...AdIdZ359120775

if you are interested (doubt it as it's a V8 and 2006, but in case you are, run a mile if they for some reason can't show you the car face to face. I wanted to buy a Patrol once on Gumtree and suddenly the car was in Darwin and they wanted money to ship it to me on the promise it would be refunded even if I didn't buy it. Yeah right.
