If you don't have any water leaks now, you're not doing enough offroad driving 🤣

That's true. Wish I could do more...

The strange thing is that in each case, my windscreen cracks were caused by stones thrown up on the paved black top, not during off road driving.

Changed the clutch slave cylinder on my '01 2.5TD XJ today. Went surprisingly well considering the slave doesn't have a bleed screw. Just bench bled the cyl then pushed the line in as my mate was pumping it slowly. Bit of wasted fluid but I think I got two birds stoned at once; fluid flush and new slave cylinder. See my post in the parts/info thread if you're looking for the part. Just shy of $100 from Supercheap.

Sprayed the wheel arches and lower sill area with surface spray (insecticide), trying to eradicate a family of redback spiders after copping a bite the other week when installing an exhaust gasket.

Should've expected squatters after having sat a while

here is a tip I learned, which is helpful for women and girls that get fully phobic when they see spiderwebs on their exterior mirror

WD40, (or any similar petroleum like product) will not only prevent rust, but totally discourage spiders, which are strongly resistant to many pesticides
