Default Drove in the snow..........

Fitted the modified towbar, now a reciever hitch. Then went for a drive in the snow. Took an hour for the fields to turn white.
So much for spring......

There was more snow settled on the motorway, you could not see the tarmac. The track was soon covered.

got the pump off ebay: expressfuelpumps.com - $120aud w/shipping for the 155lph unit. the regulator is NOT cheap; best i found was $100aud w/shipping from RockAuto.com .

Wheeliebin So is your sender unit OK then? My impression was the sender units on XJ's are a common failure. (Mine's hopeless.)
ive never had a prob with the sender on my xj but from memory they arent very expensive. almost all tjs have inaccurate senders (ours is hopeless too)

no....other than the instructions call for the fixture gasket on the bottom of the pump mount NOT to be reused but the one they sent me didnt fit so reused the old one and it works perfectly (i barely looked at the instructions as it was so straight forward to install)....this pump is excessively noisy so will try a new filter to quiet things down (a common prob)....other than that im very happy - it starts straight up cold (prolly due to the new regulator) and i picked up 5kph from 0-80. will also allow for future mods when i go to a stroker and larger injectors...money well spent in my opinion

Disconnected the battery, so when I get back home in 4 weeks, the fkn thing still has enough charge to start!

high rate pumps will always be noisy, bit of a trade off
