Hi all, I recently had my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014 serviced in Geelong. My FM radio reception had all but disappeared, although you could just hear it occasionally when reception was good and the volume was very high. It was no surprise when they told me the FM antenna - shark fin style - had carked it. Apparently they connected their own antenna and the reception was fine. They said a new one would cost almost $300 to supply and fit.
This seemed a bit high to me. They also said their Geelong sales and service centre was closing for good the next day, so Geelong is currently without a Jeep dealership as far as I know.
Anyway I was looking around on ebay and came across this:

Does anybody out there know if this would be a suitable replacement. I have asked them and they tell me it will fit my model, but I don't have a lot of confidence in their reply, nor do I know if it is good enough.
Also, can anybody help me with how to remove the existing antenna. Is it screwed on from under the inside trim, or, stuck down on the outside with a double sided tape, or something else?
