I wonder how it affects the vehicles when using a 60,000lbs rated snatch rope. The elastic give is minimal and must be like using a massive steel cable. 10x GVM

Aren't we supposed to go only 2-3x GVM straps/ropes?

I am guessing it has more stretchy elastic properties compared to traditional snatch straps. I know it's just an ad but it's kind of pointless for what most people do.

Well, next time an avalanche buries a friend's Jeep, I'll know just how to recover it.
Thanks.

Sensationalism advertising idea conceived in the Pub by a bunch of chest beaters and aimed at chest beaters.
Even Arnold Schwarzenegger would cringe at this effort!
You can tell by the way it is filmed, it just didn't happen, even if it was remotely possible. More likely the backhoe that buried it also dragged it out. Then just speed up the video a bit.
Nothing there would have been able to move that much dirt in a snatch, including the rope.
I'll buy the metal detector though. It can pick up a synthetic rope with no shackle attached to it!

Default Its been a while - this was fun :)

A trip to the beach is not complete if you don't get to snatch out somebody LoL - seen the recent ToyMota ad? they show a Cruiser towing a Jeep, well Mr Toymota your heavy 4by could NOT pull out this Ford Territory in fact you got bogged, so A real 4by aka JEEP had to step in and do the Job
