Accident damage.
I got into an accident today where I got smashed by an older Magna into my left corner. Pretty much the whole energy of the impact got absorbed by the wheel. As a result, it is really twisted and angled wrong.
The car got towed away before I could make some suspension pictures.
The car is not drivable or rather not steerable.
How bad could it be and is there a potential the insurance people would ty to write it off?

I don't believe that even in the worst instance that would be a write-off, and that's even if there's significant Quadralift and rack carnage.
Unfortunately you could have a decent wait for parts, especially given the time of year. Sympathies...

Worst case, bent frame, suspension units bent, wheel bent, cv joint busted. It is possibly an economic write off, in which case you’d be able to buy it back and fix it yourself.
Measure up the frame if you can get access to it, corner to corner, if it’s straight then the rest is fairly easy.

Being a unibody construction, frame damage becomes a tricky one to fix. That will be the worry for write off, if any. Structural damage.
Economic write off would have to be around >60/70% of market value to fix. I doubt the damage is that much from$ perspective.

Agreed totally, I was just exploring the worst case. The reality is it’s probably going to be quoted up around the $5-8K (going on averages) and knowing how resourceful and capable Sockeye is he can get the job done himself probably for under half that.

LOL. It is in the hands of the insurance company now. I will post the updates as the info regarding repairs become available.
