Ratio's. How much did you pay?

I will be purchasing 4.10 gears for my XJ shortly. I am interested to know what it has cost people in the past for gears plus install.
I will more than likley have it done at Hunter 4WD and i trust them with their pricing, however would it be worth while getting the gears and kits seperatley and then only paying for labour?

my next major mod will be 4.10 or 4.11 gearing for my xj. i've been looking at gear/install kits from the U.S. landed for about $750 aud. but then you have to fit them yourself or find someone to fit them and hope they don't get pissed at you for not getting them to supply and fit !
i've no idea as yet what price local suppliers/fitters can do but if the difference was only small i would rather support a local business.

It's over 12months since i bought my gears, but i bought my 4.11 diff gears from wooders. $320 for the dana30, $360 for the dana44 thick cut, and two install kits at $175ea and wooders gave me a bit of a discount because i also bought a sye, driveshaft, adjustable control arms etc at the same time. I then paid $750 labour for both diff ratios and a front air locker to be installed. Plus about $30 diff fluid

This was over 12 months ago when the $au was 98 cents per $us so i dare say it'll be a hell of a lot more expensive for poor wooders to import & sell than back then.
