Default Hardtop transport

Hey guys as the title suggests I have to transport a 2dr hardtop a considerable distance (750km) in a trailer. Ideally I would prefer to tow a 6x4 trailer however this would mean that the hardtop would have to sit up on its end (rear window facing up). Now I'm not sure if the thing is strong enough to sit like this for 750k tied down in the back of a bouncing trailer??

The other safer option is to hire a 8x5 and just put it in sitting down as it would normally be on the car and strap down that way.

What you guys rekn?

Cheers!

Can't just put it on the car? Drive there with soft top and and fold it down and put the hard top on?

Heh yea mate, that would be the one. The soft top was getting a little annoying for camping with the fridge in the back. I'll just get the 8x5 for piece of mind, rather not be stressing the whole 9hr drive home about it. Thanks for the info lads.

Yea your right however I dont want to be stuffing around with it miles from home hoping that I can attach it correctly. Plus not having seen how it attaches or the thread sizes id rather play it safe with a trailer and worry about it when i get home
