Do a little bit of research about paint protection.

What exactly do you mean by paint protection?

Polish? Wax? Sealant?

Are you after an off the shelf product that you can get from somewhere like Supercheap or are you after specialty brands that are only available online or need to be imported in?

I just use turtle Wax car wash liquid at home. The best paint protection is a garage or car port.

Keep the car away from high pressure cleaning unless you need to clean the mud, sand or salt on the undercarriage. Otherwise, it may chip....

I have never used anything else and the paint has stood the test of time.

Most decent factory paint jobs do not need paint protection for 20 years or more. Repaints in some cases will deteriorate no matter what you do to them,

I rarely wash my car/s maybe once a year, a couple of years back I owned a car for 3 years and never washed it. I hate washing cars!

I have my daughters old WG Laredo (a hand me down) and she owned it for 5 years she washed it once and me I have had it for 1 year and it still has not been washed and in the time it has been in our family it has never seen a wax bottle and the paint (under the grime) is still in excellent condition.

It depends on the paint. If you have done a resto & so a repaint, best is if you have used a good 2 pack paint. Like others I dont was my jeeps except for maybe when its raining. To keep it in show room like condition a wax is a must.
