Default It's hard to believe

It's hard to believe that it underwent this transformation without any major welding or painting. It was really just polished back to life. The tub was never removed from the chassis.

Obviously this one will never see the beach and I have to apply Lanolin regularly to make sure she does not rust now that she is on the coast.

However it drive like a champ and those big comfy seats sure do make a difference.

Overall I would say that it is a lot harder to fix up a jeep like this. 1/ It's hard to find the original jeep and 2/ trying to do small repair that minimise damage to original finish and paintwork takes a lot of effort.

Looks awesome Rod, well done!

Is that tub you had on offer a few years ago the one of the Mitchell 3B? I sent you a PM a while back about it and am still after a rear tub in good nick for my 3A.

For anyone else reading this i am also after LHD steering components, some straight front fenders for a 3A and an original black 'Sheller' steering wheel.

Chilli

No that is no the tub - I've got a couple of old tubs 3A, 2A and 3B. All are a little tired but some may be better than yours. Perhaps if you show me the condition of what you want to replace in yours I can get some pics next time I am up there (they are in Bundaberg) and see if I have anything better.
