I'm a condition monitoring technician so I move around a lot. I did some work at Myuna a few years ago for a while but I'm permanently based at the coal loaders on Kooragang Island now.

I know because mine was. In comparison my best mates, used by his wife for short trips around town, was crapped out after 120,000 kms.

I agree, if he still had a DPF his driving profile would keep it as clear as can be achieved.

The problem with ev's is those that are pushing them have no foresight past the end of their power plug. They seem to actively ignore the environmental devastation that has been brought to bear manufacturing these rare element catastrophes. They seem to actively brush aside the coming environmental catastrophe from the piles and piles lithium batteries that will be piled up on every street corner with no true means of recycling available. I have not researched it but I'm guessing that lithium has a very finite supply also. They seem to propagate this dreamers belief that the world's infrastructure can turn on a dime with no cost to Joey average public to support this pipe dream. Most seem to think that everytime you see a charge point it can fully charge their sbox in ten minutes. I'm glad most pointed out these charge points attached to accommodation, you'll need it. And an excuse for your boss as to why you won't be in till mid day on Monday.
IMO ev's are a horrendous out come for the short term infrastructure and the "environment" these idiots are supposedly trying to protect.
The scientific community and industry will champion them for ever because there are massive, massive piles of cash for them to make dreaming up and building the patches to try and keep our infrastructure a float in a "green" fashion.
Renewable energy always has a major down fall, you can't make the wind blow harder or the tide change faster because you are experiencing a high peak demand suddenly so most renewable energy sources still require coal or conventional power generation system idling in the back ground in its least effeint run state so you can have a fall back.
The issues with hydrogen look far less problematic in the short-term especially when you consider that current piston engine and ev/hybrid technologies are compatible with a hydrogen delivery system. And it's generation is a lot less likely to turn the lights off for tens of thousands of people at a time through it's growing pains.

Cant stop the future.
FCA merging with PSA (Peugeot).
Why?
Plan is in next two decades to go fully EV and Hydrogen.
