Have booked mine in for N23 recall next week. Questioned the service manager at the local GC Jeep dealer who said it's an easy fix and they have not had any complaints!

Doc, when you ran over that black cat you didn't drive through a mirror as well did you
I think you might have check it before but this code can be caused by the battery leaking on the ECU & the swirl motor

Have booked my recall in on Thursday in Orange, Penrith couldn't do it till mid October

After reading this post yesterday morning thought I had better check ours. Was done about two weeks ago.
Put it into lo and..........."SERVICE 4WD SYSTEM".
No 4 lo and no neutral. Not a good start to the day and couldn't ring jeep as it was a public holiday.
Done some further reading up on other forums and had a read of the update procedure they should of followed

Was stoked when I called first thing this morning and they told me to bring it it.
Basically they didn't follow all the steps ( #15)
Take 2 and

All good

Blood pressure normal

Just make sure before you drive it away it will go into 4lo.
The service manager said he has had no problems, but how many people would have put their jeep into lo since having it done....and having this come up.

Most may not need 4lo but it also stops you putting the transfer case into neutral if it ever needs to be towed

Default Bugger

Had my recall done several weeks back, tried low 4 and all good.
Thought I'd try it again this morning and guess what..... no low 4 and SERVICE 4WD SYSTEM appears on dash. Not happy.
Will go back to Jeep today and see what they say.
Hopefully sort it out by Toolangi weekend....

Cheers, Craig

Thumbs down West Orange Motors

Had my update done this morning (1hour 45min )

First thing I did was try 4Lo in the car park & guess what "Service 4WD System"
Went back to the service counter and told them, I asked if they had cleared all codes before the flash & was told did have codes relating to coils & spark plugs its a diesel I said, Girl quickly said must have been glow plugs. Jeep went out the back again (15min) came back and said all good, had an active code cleared them & no faults left on computer.

Have engaged 4Lo several times since the flash & no apparent faults.

So be specific to the girl/bloke at the counter when you drop your Jeep in for the recall, tell them to clear any codes before the flash and try 4Lo once the flash is done.

What pissed me off the most was when the girl behind the counter asked me how I knew this could be a problem I said from an on line forum. Her reply "Oh the internet "

So West Orange Motors you haven't done yourself any favours in my eyes today
