Well!!! what a shame everyone seems to have big problems with late model Jeeps, only couple of years back couldn't get enough Jeeps, according to ads, maybe they should go back to build same way as my 06 WH I have towed van up and down East coast for last 5-6 years, not had one damn problem with this great Jeep, always had Holdens before that, breaks my heart to hear of so many problems, come on Jeep you've been a warhorse as well, tough as all guts, I know how great they are, I'm a Vietnam Veteran we saw them in action over there, pull your finger out and show them all what a great machine you are, these people are paying big hard earned money for these suv's you gotta stop letting them down with all these problems, smarten up! how could you let yourselves and everyone else down, definately not the American way, ps. get yourselves a real Jeep, an 06 GC LTD. rant over Hicko.

Keep in mind they are selling WK's more than 10 to 1 compared to WH's. So expect 10 times the complaints, there is tens of thousands of them that are trouble free. Not many people publicise when their car is great with no problems.

I just got into a stoush with a guy on another forum where I recommended a Commander as a tourer with a real 3rd row seat. It didn't matter that I had first hand knowledge of what a WH/XH were like, all he/she could do was quote internet stories about how poor the Jeep was & how as an off road vehicle they didn't rate

Most criticism involved Jeeps poor service & parts availability & how Jeeps sales figures are falling.

The internet makes it so easy for the average guy to vent there frustrations about whatever is pissing them off, it doesn't matter if there gripe is justified or not. Once it hits the net its the truth no mater how wrong it may be.

Australia has a Japanese bias towards 4WD's. Toyota, Nissan & Mitsubishi are smart businesses. Jeep however are not & have not been for quite a while.

I'm curious thou! If your Jeep was written off tomorrow would you buy another one? I know I would (same model not new).

In a heartbeat. It's compact enough to trundle around the inner city with ease, is just as happy hammering over outback dirt roads all day, tows the camper trailer like it isn't there, is a brilliant road trip vehicle, is better off road than it has any right to be, and it has character and a great balance of practicality and creature comforts.

Yeah, it has flaws, but dollar-for-dollar I genuinely cannot think of another vehicle that would be as capable and enjoyable over such a wide cross-section of uses.

In a heartbeat as well. Both the WK2 (MY14 Overland) and the KL (MY15 Limited) have given us zero grief.

Our '05 Limited also gave us nothing to complain about.

I just had a convo with the husband today (very timely) with regards to when we will upgrade the MY14 (build date April '13). He is entertaining the idea of an MY16 but I'm sort of holding out for the 5th gen release in 2018/19. The discussion continues...

Relevance of this thread in KL Cherokee forum? Someone is trolling for sure. As for 06 GC being a real Jeep, get real.
