Default Tranny skid plate

I am going to add some corrogated iron to the under belly of my skid plate. Which direction do you think I should run it. Across, length ways or diagonals? Why do you suggest this?

I would think length wise, since you'll be using it to slide over obstacles while moving either forward or backward. (generally not sideways or diagonal) If its mounted under the Tranny skid and you mount it sideways it will just give more chances to hang up on stuff.

im guessing that it will work however the corrugation WILL mash and tear and get crushed. whilst the mess under the bash plate will stop you from sliding sideways the metal is only either .76 or .46mm thick. (depending on sheet profile and disired span for building) and will not last long IMHO. Secondly im sure this wll act as a shovel picking up crap and wedging it between the iron and the bash plate.

id weld iron rods down the length on the plate to acheive the same purpose.
