I think rocker guards would be wiser... i mean 1) you know you will be travelling over rocks... 2) rocks are unpredictable... you can miss judge them slip over them and at night they look completely different... 3) rockers look cool without cutting holes in the side of your tj... (snorkle is irraversible)

With water damage, unless you know for sure you will be fording water thats higher then HUB level. damage is easily avoided... To be honest when ever it comes to water and slushy mud etc.... it should be avoided all together... they are infact a 4wd's worst enemy.

Rocker guards are irreversable as well. I dont know of any that dont recquire drilling of the panel to mount them

i've got bash plates that arn't drilled into the panel... not to mention a drill hole is easier to plug then a hole the size of a fist. the point im making is if your not fording water... then i don't see the justification... you tackle rocks everyday, i think its pretty self explanitory. but i've had a few beers now... so go for what you rheart wants!
