Took my XJ offroading today.

Tell u what, i fkn hate Detroit Truetracs. I got one installed at the front and it broke my uni joint and took the axle 'ears' with it. Time to install a full Detroit and my chromoly shafts and yukon superjoints.

Why did it break my axle? Well, with a truetrac u need to 'brake modulate' meaning brake and modulate the gas at the same time. And it leads to broken axles.

Trust me install an arb or full detroit in the front of your xj.

happy wheelin'

today (and for the next few weeks) i plan to use my XJ to deter unwanted people from buying the house next door (ie: hyundai 4 door with ugly fat single women and 7 kids)....parked it on top of the Open House sign (conveniently placed on MY lawn by the realtor)...also fired up the compressor and angle grinder to drive off undesireables during open house....im a bad man

Been thinking of the Detroit TruTrack My self What size tyres & diff ratios are you running ? Also have you still got the straps on the uni yokes or have you replaced them with "U"bolts
