Default VALUE of REAR UPPER CONTROL ARMS - Big Improvement in shaft angle!

Some months back I installed the PPM 4.5 inch lift from DBOR. To save $ I did skimp on 1 thing...rear uppers...BIG mistake. I have a 2 door CRD auto (not sure whether the mecho specs make any difference) and the rear drive shaft/diff angle was pretty extreme. I thought maybe a tough new custom rear shaft needed.

I decided to go for the adjustable rear uppers (all other arms are PPM adjustable). What a difference to the alignment of rear drive shaft to diff...flip.

See pics for yourself. Money well spent I think.

mmmmmm Interesting. Lowers are set to spec length. Do you guys have shorties? The angle is much less so in a 4 door? I'm checking all my arm lengths next week.

Yeah I agree, it looked on a hell of an angle considering adjustable LCA's.

Got me curious so I went out to have a look at mine. This is mine sitting on Rubicon Express 3.5 inch springs, which has the the rear 86mm (3.5in) above my original stock height with stock control arms (595mm wheel centre to lower lip of guard).

No where near as much angle as your was??

Geez... I love the rust on mine! Thats how it was when I picked it up brand new...

only by shortening the wheelbase.

i'd be a bit worried when pointing the pinion at the back of the transfer case - too much angle and you could start risking oil flow to the pinion bearings???
