I have the DRL's connected to the "parker" light wire....was easier at the time than running a new wiring for the DRL.

I think its bullshit, because a rabbit wouldnt be able to see an XJ coming down the road with those yellow candlesticks.

But, if a cops coming the other way and you give him a bit too much light, it may attract their attention.

What did you do to resolve this issue Atomik? Just adjust both headlights down to a reasonable level?

Interested to see where this thread goes. I think all these LED headlights are safer and much better, newer tech, but also a small concern about the compliance issue.

Cheers,

cant say i had that issue......adjusted the beams against a wall i regularly use for that purpose....they actually didnt need much adjustment at all....made sure the beam wasnt too high, had no left or right issues....then went for a drive around some parked cars to make sure they were'nt glaring high into the vehicle ahead cabin...couple of months later now, havent had any flashes from oncoming vehicles. Only thing I can fault is the high beam aint super, but the low beam is miles better than the halogen.

Prior to fitting these, I was using H4 LED globes in the standard glass lamp and was always getting flashed.

look like relay/upgrade wiring would be needed at 220W ?
i have them on the standard loom, no problem....did a tong test during the install..(have the result written down somewhere) from memory, wasnt excessive, thinking just see how it goes, so far all good...definately isnt pulling 110 watts per side.

Default LED lights

Aftermarket LED headlights like HID's are illegal in most states I think and I.m sick of being blinded by illegal or incorrectly adjusted lights. Nearly left the road a couple of times because of these clowns. Rural driving is getting dangerous because of it, our country roads don't leave alot of room for error when your blinded.
