After a lot of deliberation, I finally just put them on. Great price (I think) so we'll see. They seem smooth on the black top but a little understeer compared to the previous wranglers. Can't wait to hit the dirt next weekend at Lithgow.

was told once by some tyre dude taht new tyres have a thing called '100km gloss', basically it takes a while to wear the tire in before its at peak performance...
so its good practice to so some skids on your new tyres as soon as you put them on...

I looked at every option on tires in the past few months and this is what I reckon, Coopers are a very Hard tyre (hence the long life out of them KM wise) A few of my mates had the Series 1 batch of the At/ r's and ST..... Well they were very disappointed!

A had BF goddie A/T and I reckon they were Bloody excellent.. Great all round tire Very happy, nice and soft but still quite durable millage wise, Good year Wranglers Like Coopers Great when new Hard and noise past 20k...

I decided to broaden my Brand selection ( local Tire shop guy who gets all our work said " put these Hankooks on Best tire ever!!" 2 weeks later "try these Nekkas Blue Streeks There the S**T"... I choses to look on my own opinion and ask 4x4ers

Depends on your application!
If you want a real 4x4 tire, consider a 4x4 orientated brand Ie: Pro comp, Mickey Thompson, ect... Feel the tires, feel the side walls they do a great range of A/T and they are made and sold buy 4 wheel drivers! (they do awesome muddies too )

Tyre shops don't all carry the same Brands they will try sell you what they stock 4x4 shops will give you opinions from what they have tried them selfs.

If you want a more road orientated tire go touch tires on people 4x4 in the car park at the shops, see how they have worn and see how they feel!!

Billsta hit the nail on the head! All tires drive great for the first 6 months or so its good to look at tires you know are over a year old or have done a good 20,000kms.... Thats how you see what your going to have to live with for the next few years !

Just my thoughts, you don't have to listen to me. Buy what makes you happy..
I got my new boots last Friday and I am as happy as a Pig in Shi* ( or a Jeep in mud) hehe
