Yeah that's correct. You can call any Jeep distributor and they have a database that shows when or if yours has been fixed. They just need the VIN number. I phoned a couple of weeks ago and was advised mine was fixed in '97.

I think the recall was announced in '96 or '97 so you'd hope so, but you can still check with Jeep dealership to be sure.

It probably would, get your VIN and contact any Jeep dealer and they'll tell you if it applies and if its been repaired or not. Ask to speak to the warrenty clerk.

Im going to be making a steering brace up as per Go Jeeps website if any one wants one let me know and i will knock up an extra or 2
