did some more research and confirmed the sidegear swap is doable but will probably still be more expensive than its worth. so the new plan is to put an RD104 30-spline locker in (the 100 can go in my Chero or maybe someone will buy it). im also looking at upgrading the Alloy USA shafts to the Nitro units with Nitro unis. im told both are stronger than the Alloy/CTM combo.

so now its just a matter of getting a locker and the ball will start rolling again (hopefully this coming week).

RD-104 has been ordered. found out CTM type unis are a bad thing without locking hubs (cant really run them on the highway without greasing them all the time). will either run Nitro axles or the already acquired Alloy USA units (if they dont sell by the time i get the locker). so more waiting on parts!

acquired the sye (thanks Nakkas and good to meet you!).... now just need a 231 w/or without an sye (can always use it elsewhere if the new 231 is sye-ready)

ARB Locker showed up today! decided to run the Alloy USA shafts so i'm off to see our favorite Diff Guru soon!
